Tonight marked the final ALT competition of the school year. we are incredibly proud to share that Albert Pye attended 22 out of the 24 fixtures this year, with the vast majority of these events taking place after school. We have taken over 300 children to these events, for many it's their 1st competition and possibly their 1st Medal. A massive thank you to Mr Mckenzie and the entire teaching staff for supporting these events - this would not have been possible without this incredible team x

Congratulations to the KS2 Boys/Girls football teams who attended the Terry Butcher Football Competition held at Red Oak PS. Terry opened the competition, signed autographs, answered questions and presented the medals and Trophies. The Boys finished joint winners and the Girls finished joint 2nd. (Girls photo to follow)

Our amazing Year 6 Sports Leaders celebrated the end of the school year with a well-deserved social! The leaders had a fantastic time playing rounders, followed by a delicious feast of pizzas, pop, and ice lollies. This special social was a treat from Mr McKenzie to say a massive thank you to the team for all their dedication, leadership, and hard work over the past year.

Huge congratulations to our Year 5 football team who competed in the ALT Championship at Red Oak Primary School! It was an incredible tournament for our players: -The A Team put on a brilliant performance to finish 2nd in their league! 🥈 -The B Team played outstandingly and won their league! 🏆Every single player showed amazing determination and sportsmanship. A truly fantastic team effort from everyone involved.

🏏 BECCLES CRICKET CLUB UPDATE 🏏 Did your child attend the Beccles Cricket Club sessions? Are you still waiting for their cricket bat and ball set? We have just received an update from our supplier. 📦 Delivery Delay The supplier emailed us regarding a shipping delay. The sets are taking longer than expected to arrive. 🗓️ What Happens Next? We are monitoring the delivery closely.We hope they arrive before the school term ends.

Year 2 loved Arts Day this week! They learnt all about the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes and created some artwork inspired by her. The children read some Brazilian folklore stories and created story maps to retell these and they also learnt a Brazilian dance!

Year 1 have been busy over the last two weeks creating their own bunting flags as part of their DT unit. They have worked hard to learn how to sew a running stitch and have added embellishments to make their flags individual.

Reception have been immersing themselves in the artwork of Yayoi Kusama this week. We are looking forward to showing our art to our parent's this afternoon in our parent share!

For Art Week Nursery have explored the work of Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist who uses dots and spots in her work. We drew large butterflies and decorated them with spots made with different tools and media. "I love this one, its sparkly!". " Wow this one is enormous!" We enjoyed sharing our work with our adults!

What a busy week it has been in Year 6: arts day, prom, leavers assembly and lots of other exciting learning. We had the most magical evening celebrating our journey at Albert Pye with a prom, the food was delicious, we covered ourselves in glitter tattoos and then sung our hearts out at the silent disco. What an incredible week to end an incredible year.

Year Three have had so much fun in Arts week learning all about the art and culture of Nigeria. We were inspired by the work of Jimoah Buraimoh and we were lucky enough to have a visitor in to tell us all about Nigerian culture and to cook some delicious Nigerian food! Thankyou so much to Perfection's family for this opportunity.
